Statement on Freedom Policy

The Organising Committee of the 56th course of the International School of Crystallography "Crystallography under extreme conditions the future is bright and very compressed" and 57th course of the International School of Crystallography "Diffuse scattering: the crystallography of dynamics, defects, and disorder" shall observe the basic policy of nondiscrimination and affirms the rights of scientists throughout the world to adhere or to associate with international scientific activity without regard to such factors as ethnic origin, religion, citizenship, language, political stance, gender, sex or age, in accordance with the Statues of the International Council for Science. At this course no barriers will exist which would prevent the participation of bona fide scientists.

Statement on Gender Balance

We will follow the Gender Balance requirements of the IUCr. (https://www.iucr.org/iucr/principles-and-policies/gender-balance) The Organizing and Scientific Committees will safeguard gender equity among lecturers and participants, paying special attention to the gender balance and diversity in evaluating the bursary applications. Among the Organizers, Annalisa Guerri, member of the IUCr Gender Equity and Diversity Committee (GEDC) will act as steward for this statement.
