Every year since 1974 the International School of Crystallography brings together between 150 and 200 scientists from academia and industry. The 47 th course, “Structural basis of pharmacology. Deeper understanding of drug discovery through crystallography”, will provide a review of the fundamentals of structure based drug design, the application of crystallography to drug design, an evaluation of the technology at the present state, and an update on the progress in this field. As it was originally intended, the school organizers aim to offer to as many students as possible the possibility to come at reduced or no cost.
